The keynote speaker, Wendy Edey, Director of the Hope Foundation of Edmonton, will kick off with a humourous, inspirational presentation, Audacious Hope followed by a variety of interactive sessions to nourish your mind, body and spirit:

  • Bill Drake: Caution - "Gardening Can Become Addictive"
  • Dr. Billie Strean will lead you in yoga laughter
  • If you are intrigued with how to keep your memory sharp join Rod Anderson
  • If you love to sing David Garber will engage you in joyous music
  • Learn more about wine from Irv Barros
  • Sally Vaughan Johnson will demonstrate ideas for solo cooking

Registration forms are available here.  Your early bird registration fee is $50. After April 1st  the fee will be $65.

These breakout sessions are just a few of the topics being offered at the one day conference.

 Purposes of the Second Wind Conference                       

  • To provide information and share resources which promote retiree health and wellness
  • To inspire retirees to remain actively engaged in their community
  • To provide an opportunity for social interaction and mental stimulation
  • To raise the profile of retirees as valuable and productive members of society
  • To promote membership and involvement in ARTA and Branches
